Early Bird Member Registration will be open on March 1 at 10:00 AM. SWYC members will receive exclusive early access to registration and discounted early-bird pricing (membership number required). SWYC Member prices apply to SWYC Members’ Children, Grandchildren, and Junior Members ONLY.
Standadrd Pricing will go in effect on April 1st at 10:00 AM. Non members may begin to register starting April 1st. 
All registratns who register by May 1st will automatically recieve a free SWYC Summer hat!

REFUND POLICY
ALL CANCELATIONS MUST BE MADE 10 DAYS PRIOR TO THE CLASS BEGININNG FOR A FULL REFUND. CANCELATION WITHIN THE 10 DAY WINDOW WILL NOT BE ELIGABLE FOR A REFUND.
Our Juniors Summer Program provides a safe instructional environment and an enjoyable summer for our junior anglers and sailors.  
We offer multiple sessions, many lasting two weeks.  Juniors may attend multiple sessions.  Classes are offered in Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Sailing.  Additional programs are offered in Fishing, Double-Handed, Adventure Sailing, and a Starfish class for children ages 5-7 years old.  A schedule is provided below and a complete schedule and associated fees is available in the link to the left.  Boats are available to rent for various classes, in the event that you do not own the boats used in our program.  Each Junior will receive a certificate of completion as well as a lifetime memories and friendships.

Fishing 101 (7-16 years old)
Junior Anglers, beginners and experienced, will learn the fundamentals of fishing.  Four days of bay and coast fishing, along with a full day deep sea fishing trip are planned.

Beginning Sabot Sailing (8-16 years old)
This class provides a basic introduction to the Sabot, equipment and sailing techniques.  The parts of the boat and sail, sailing terms, knots, points of sail and personal boating safety are taught.

O'Pen Skiff Sailing (8-16 years old)
Juniors will need to have completed all beginning classes and are comfortable with the basic principles of sailing.  We'll be enhancing skills and having lots of fun!
Intermediate Sabot Sailing (8-16 years old)
This class is for Juniors who have completed all beginning classes and are comfortable with the basic principles of sailing.  Basic rules of the water are introduced and the importance of teamwork is stressed.
Sabot Learn To Race (8-16 years old)
Is your sailor ready for their next challenge? This class is the intro to Sabot Race Team. This class will focus on racing skills, tactics, and rules on the water. Your sailor must have completed beginning and intermediate sailing prior to trying this class. 
Sabot Race Team (8-16 years old)
This class stresses racing skills, rules, tactics, seamanship and boat tuning.  Students will practice these skills using drills associated with starts, mark roundings, racing rules and wind shifts. Sportsmanship and safety are at the core of all lessons. MUST PROVIDE OWN SABOT

(Sabot Nationals)
Adventure Sailing (12-16 years old)
This two week class is offered for the Junior who has basic sailing skills and wants exposure to a variety of boats and is not necessarily interested in racing.  The focus will be to expand sailing skills, techniques and knowledge using a variety of boats including Lasers, CFJs, 420s, and Keel boats.  Cruising, ocean adventures, seamanship, basic navigation and much more will be discussed.
Laser Race Team (12-16 years old)
This class stresses racing skills, rules, tactics, seamanship, and boat tuning.  Sailor must have completed Beginning Laser Race Class first. Students will practice these skills using drills associated with starts, mark rounding’s, racing rules and wind shifts. Sportsmanship and safety are at the core of all lessons. Ideal skipper weight should be no less than 105 lbs. 5 charter boats available. Strongly suggest owning your own.

Beginning Double-Handed Sailing (12-16 years old)
Is your sailor ready for their next challenge? This class is the intro to Double Handed Race Team. This class will focus on racing skills, tactics, and rules on the water. Your sailor must have completed beginning and intermediate sailing prior to trying this class. The class will primarily use CFJs and C420s.  Boats are provided.
Double Handed Race Team (12-16 years old)
This class stresses racing skills, rules, tactics, seamanship and boat tuning.  Sailor must have completed Beginning Double-Handed first. Students will practice these skills using drills associated with starts, mark roundings, racing rules and wind shifts. Sportsmanship and safety are at the core of all lessons. The class will primarily use CFJs and C420s.  Boats are provided.
Ideal skipper/crew weight combined should be around 230 lbs.

Summer Classes and Descriptions Class Times
Starfish (5-7 years old)
Starfish are 5-7 year olds.  The class is designed to introduce tots to sailing.  Students will experience sailing in our CFJs and/or J-24.  Instructors are always on board and the emphasis is on fun.  A PFD is required.

Please note this class is one week long and runs from 9am-12pm the second week of each session. Kids must be picked up at Noon, no exceptions.
